Houston Ship Channel closed - Force Majeure clauses 'kicking-in'

The Closure of the Houston Ship Channel last Friday, which has held up some 60+ cargo vessels, has kept us busy this week advising clients on contract obligations and Force Majeure exclusions in Charterparties and Sale Contracts, with some unexpected outcomes for some clients.
